Eliza Evans Dead From Diabetes at Home near Linden Funeral Services will be held at the home Saturday Afternoon at 1 o'clock Linden-March 22- Mrs. Eliza Evans died this morning at 2 o'clock at her home, seven and one half miles east of Linden after an illness of two weeks with diabetes. Mrs. Evans was born in Montgomery Co., IN., Sept 9, 1852. She was the daughter of George and Mary Grimes. The deceased was a member of Methodist Church and Eastern Star lodge at Linden. Besides her husband she is survived by the following children: Mrs. Hal Thewilies of Linden, Mrs. Lee Hood of Crawfordsville, Mrs. Millard Holdt of Colfax, William, John, and Samuel Evans of Linden. One brother and one sister also survive, they are Thomas Grimes of Lafayette and Mrs. Nancy Byrd of Crawfordsville. Funeral services will be conducted.... Interment will take place at Crawfordsville Oak Hill Cemetery.
